The Adventures of Curly Fu and Peanut: Episode 6

“‘You don’t seriously believe that?'”

– The Adventures of The Six Napoleons (SIXN)

The BBC Sherlock series is extremely popular in mainland China, where they refer to Holmes and Watson as Curly Fu and Peanut. Seriously. You can read more about that HERE.

The British comedy team of Fred Turner and Dennis Gavin decided to produce a series of Sherlockian parodies and have adopted the monikers of Curly Fu and Peanut. To date, six episodes have been produced.

From their website:

Have you ever wondered what it would be like if Sherlock Holmes & Dr. Watson were just regular guys faced with incomprehensible situations?

Well continue to wonder, they have become the product of our tortured and twisted minds.

We genuinely love the adventures of Sherlock Holmes but we are slightly more cynical and love to laugh.

The result is these affectionate parodies of the two literary heroes.

Enter the world of Curly Fu & Peanut.

The adventures of Curly Fu & Peanut are brought to you by Fred Turner and Dennis Gavin.

No expense was spent on the production and no owls were harmed during the recordings.

No one should take themselves too seriously……….. especially Sherlock Holmes

We are sharing episode 6, which is their version of The Three Garridebs, as continuing with our policy of promoting our namesake story in addition to the numismatic aspects of the Canon.
