Thank You Sherlock

Once again, I have been negligent in thanking some of our friends for their help and support to our organization. I like to take a few minutes and correct this oversight.

District Messenger

Carrie Chandler, who took over editorship of The District Messenger, the Sherlock Holmes Society of London, earlier this year, had a few kind comments about our organization and website in DM #354.

NBS logoOver the last several months, editor Wayne Homren, has excerpted several of our posts and published them in his weekly newsletter, The E-Sylum. He has also published a few requests from me for information.  The E-Sylum was honored at the recent ANA Convention as Best Non-Trade-Press Website by the Numismatic Literary Guild.  Homren was also honored by the Numismatic Bibliomania Society that week at their annual meeting with the George Frederick Kolbe Award for service to the NBS.  Both honors are very well deserved.  You can check out the complete 18 year archive of The E-Sylum here.

BlauPeter E. Blau has given our organization several mentions in his monthly Scuttlebutt from the Spermaceti Press. His newsletter is a must read for the latest Sherlockian news.  You can always read the latest issue at the Red Circle’s website, as well as the archive that dates back to 1985.

BSB PodcastThanks to the Baker Street Babes for their shout out about our website to their 41,000+ followers on Twitter.

senters

Carolyn and Joel Senter of Classic Specialties generously gave permission to reprint several numismatic-related articles that originally appeared in their Sherlockian Times newsletter and later included in their book The Formidable Scrap-Book of Baker Street. Earlier this month, both of the Senters were involved in an automobile accident and we wish them a very speedy recovery from the injuries they sustained.

DobryDenny Dobry has been very kind to loan me copies of various books in his library for several research projects and has scanned most of the articles that we have reprinted from other sources.  This has been a huge time saving effort for your editor and is very much appreciated.

Sorry, comments are closed for this post.
