Recently, we have introduced our Meet The Garridebs feature where we highlight you, our members. Last week, we published Brad Keefauver’s 17 Steps, which will focus on our primary story each month. We are quite pleased to announce 3 more regular features here every month.

2015-03-30 10.43.53Each month, Denny Dobry will prepare The Inquisition, a killer quiz of 10 questions about that month’s story. Answers will be published two weeks later.  The Inquisitor is the current Gasogene of the White Rose Irregulars of York, Pennsylvania and now serves as the Quizmaster for the online John H Watson Society. Denny is also a member of Watson’s Tin Box, the Denizens of the Bar of Gold, and the Epilogues of Sherlock Holmes. Dobry is also a member of the Baker Street Builders, a group of Sherlockians who have created replicas of 221B Baker Street.  You can read more about Denny’s version of the sitting room by clicking here. The picture on the left was taken during last year’s open house that Denny and his wife, Joann, hosted.  That’s their grandson, Brett, who served as Billy during the open house.

Bob StekIf you attend any Sherlockian events on the east coast, and hear a loud, audible groan coming from a table or group, chances are that you will find Bob Stek among them telling a pun or a quick one liner. Bob is the founder of the Desert Prospectors of Arizona, and is a member of the Men on the Tor, Mrs. Hudson’s Cliff Dwellers of New Jersey, Watson’s Tin Box, White Rose Irregulars, Epilogues of Sherlock Holmes, the John H Watson Society, the Bootmakers of Toronto and the Baker Street Irregulars.  Stek is a contributor to the I Hear of Sherlock Everywhere website and created the first electronic version of the Canon in 1987 with his Electronic Holmes Companion. Each month, Bob will be contributing The Punitentiary, a pun based on that month’s discussion story.
2015-03-30 10.41.54Our final announcement for this post is that Frank Mentzel, who just became the Gasogene of the Six Napoleons of Baltimore, is contributing the feature Data! Data! Data! each month with all kinds of facts and statistics about our discussion story. Frank teaches a class, Appreciating Sherlock Holmes, for the Community Colleges of Baltimore County, Maryland, each spring and fall. Mentzel can also be found at meetings of the Red Circle of Washington, DC, Watson’s Tin Box, White Rose Irregulars and the Denizens of the Bar of Gold. Frank made the mistake of being the first person to welcome your editor when I attended my first Six Napoleons meeting.

Please join us in welcoming these three new contributors to our ranks.
