“… this was none other than the great Brigham Young himself.”

– A Study In Scarlet (STUD)

For over 30 years, until his death, Brigham Young was the President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  He led his followers from persecution in Ohio, across the desert and settled them is what is now known as Utah. He is considered the founder of Salt Lake City and was the first Governor of the Utah territory. He was and is still considered a controversial figure due to some of his teachings and policies, such as polygamy.  To learn more about Brigham Young, click here35-Longines-Medal-Brigham-Young-01.35-Longines-Medal-Brigham-Young-02
