Watson’s Tin Box Celebrates 25 Years

Watson’s Tin Box Celebrates 25 Years

“…the true history of this curious case remained entombed in the tin box which contains so many records of my friend’s adventures.”

– The Adventure of The Creeping Man (CREE)

WTB

On Monday, October 27th, Watson’s Tin Box of Ellicott City, Maryland celebrated their silver anniversary with their annual formal dinner.

In addition to good food and camaraderie, two highlights of the evening were the performance of A Slutty Little Harlot by the Watson Tin Box Radio Players and Denny Dobry’s showing of a video recording of a presentation by the late Paul Churchill, a co-founder of the WTB.

I was lucky enough to be seated next to Bruce Eberle, Gasogene III of the WTB, who shared with me a genuine faux Sherlockian relic that Churchill had produced as a giveaway for a mid 1990’s BSI weekend. I’ll share that in a future post, as it is numismatic related.

All who attended the dinner left with a booklet with reminiscences of the scion’s 25 years from past Gasogenes, a special lapel pin and a wooden nickel.
